Monthly Membership Payments

Monthly Membership payments are required for all

students who attend one of the following classes.

Mondays: 5:45pm - 7pm

Mondays: 6:30pm/6:45pm - 8pm

Tuesdays: 5:45pm - 7pm

Tuesdays: 6:30pm/6:45pm - 8pm

Fridays: 5:45pm - 7pm

Fridays: 6:30pm/6:45pm - 8pm

Saturdays: 9:15am - 10:30am

Saturdays: 10:15am - 11:45am/12pm

Our Membership Structure is a â€‹Rolling monthly direct debitbased on a 40 - 42 week training year

with fees spread across 12 monthly payments.

Membership Cancellation & Class Reduction from Unlimited classes to 2 classes, 2 classes to 1 class or monthly payment hold require 

​

30 days written notice (email) is required with fees remaining payable during the notice period.

​

​​

An active membership is required for students must complete the required time in grade before they are eligible to test for their next

belt rank. Probationary Belt rank is awarded only after successful completion of the probationary grading period and required

improvemnts and final instructor approval. Black Belt monogrammed belts and Black Belt certificates also require an active membership.

If a membership is placed on hold or cancelled, the issue of these items will be placed on hold until the membership is reactivated.

 

Gup and CDB certifications will be placed on hold or cancelled if a student's membership is placed on hold or terminated.

​

Make-up class vouchers become invalid when a membership is cancelled or terminated.

Voucher expiry dates continue to run during any period of inactive membership and will not be extended.

 

 

Unlimited Membership
Enjoy unlimited attendance across all eligible classes.

Spaces are allocated subject to availability, and if your preferred class is full, we may offer an alternative session.

Unlimited + Add-On = Unlimited Evening/Weekend + One After-School Session

Policies Applicable to All SHMA Programmes

​

SHMA Class Cancellations & Exceptional Circumstances​

​

SHMA reserves the right to cancel up to two (2) sessions per term for each scheduled class due to:

  • Venue issues or closure

  • Severe weather

  • Instructor illness

  • Health & safety concerns

  • Operational requirements

Where reasonably possible, a make-up class will be offered.

If venue-based training cannot continue due to circumstances beyond SHMA's control, including school closure,

venue closure, government restrictions, or public health measures, SHMA may transfer classes online.

Classes will continue on the same scheduled days and times wherever reasonably possible.

Fees remain payable and no refunds or fee reductions will be provided due to the change in delivery method for the remainder of the term (Terms are September 1st - December 31st, January 1st - March 31st, April 1st - August 31st).

Parent Responsibility & Collection

​​

 Parents or guardians remain responsible for students until they have been handed

over to an SHMA Instructor for all evening and weekend classes.

 

Students must be collected promptly at the end of their booked session.

Late collection charges may apply.

Details can be found in the SHMA Website FAQ section.

Outstanding late fees must be paid before the student's next class.

Failure to do so may result in suspension until fees are settled.

Student Lesson Cancellations and Catch-Up Policy

Termly Students

​

Students enrolled on a termly payment plan may make up one missed lesson per term 

(2 if Training 2 classes per week) if they are unable to attend for any reason.

Any additional missed lessons are forfeited and are not eligible for a catch-up class.

All catch ups are voided after the last day of the training term.

Training Terms end in December, March & July.

If a lesson is cancelled by SHMA, students will receive a catch-up lesson or credit.

Catch-up lessons must be taken within:

6 months if 1 lesson was cancelled by SHMA.

12 months if 2 lessons were cancelled by SHMA.

Any unused catch-up lessons after these timeframes will expire.

 

 

Monthly Paying Students

​

Students paying monthly may make up any lessons they miss for their own reasons during the current month or the following month only. Any unused catch-up lessons after this period will be forfeited.

If a lesson is cancelled by SHMA, the same catch-up time limits apply:

6 months to use a catch-up lesson if 1 lesson was cancelled by SHMA.

12 months to use catch-up lessons if 2 lessons were cancelled by SHMA.

Any unused SHMA-issued catch-up lessons after these timeframes will expire.

Catch-up lessons are subject to class place availability and must be booked in advance.

Catch-up lessons have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be

carried forward beyond the stated expiry periods.

​

Monthly lesson days and times may be adjusted during school closure weeks.

If your regular class is not scheduled during a half-term school closure week,

monthly students may attend any suitable alternative class during that week.

Please contact SHMA to confirm which class is suitable before attending.

Examples:

Intermediate and Advanced students (10 years+) may attend the Tuesday Black Belt class or the Saturday Advanced class.

Other suitable alternatives may be available depending on the student's age and grade.

Health & Safety​​

Medical conditions must be disclosed before participation.

SHMA reserves the right to restrict participation where an Instructor feels a students safety is at risk.

A vehicle access agreement for the Avenue Primary Academy must be submitted before Vehichle access is permitted.

Martial Arts Insurance/Membership

​

Martial Arts Insurance & Club Membership is £1 per family per term for afterschool class students.

Monthly member students SHMA Insurance & Club Membership is paid in the monthly fee.​

​

Behaviour & Conduct​

Respectful behaviour towards Instructors, assistants, volunteers, and other participants is required at all times.

The Student Conduct, Respect & Safety Agreement must be submitted with a students apllication by all students 10 Yrs +.

SHMA reserves the right to suspend or terminate participation for bullying, inappropriate behaviour, or unsafe conduct.

Photography & Media​

SHMA may take photographs and videos for coaching, safeguarding, educational, website, and promotional purposes.

Opt-out requests must be submitted in writing before participation.

Club Rights​​

SHMA reserves the right to:

Amend fees with reasonable notice. 

Change venues, instructors, and timetables.

Merge or cancel classes where necessary.

Restrict or withdraw participation for safeguarding, welfare, disciplinary, or operational reasons.

Agreement​

By booking classes, enrolling in membership, or making payment to SHMA,
