Level, Gup & CDB Grading Certificates
All levels will be awarded a SHMA Certificate, which will be distributed once they are ready.
All Gup students (Yellow+) will receive a TEMAS certificate.
We have updated the system for faster presentation and aim to start issuing all new certificates, as well as correcting previous spelling errors, after Easter.
Going forward, certificates will be presented within a few weeks of grading.
Presentation
All students are expected to:
* Display a high level of personal hygiene during every session, course, grading, competition or other Martial Arts related event.
* Wear a clean and ironed uniform.
* Tie their grade belt correctly. If they do not know how to tie their grade belt correctly, they should ask a senior student to show them how.

Why is starting at a young age beneficial?
Snow heron Martial Arts provide children with a sense of pride and self-confidence, and can be a great tool to encourage otherwise shy children to come out of their shells.
Finding a good school and great instructor is integral to the success of the student, but it can be a wonderful, life-long relationship between the art and the student when a child gets the opportunity to begin at a young age.
How can I help my child succeed in Martial Arts?
You can support your child's success by:
-
Being encouraging: Celebrate their achievements and show interest in their progress.
-
Attending classes: Show your child that you value their training.
-
Practicing at home: Help them practice their techniques and skills.
-
Reinforcing values: Emphasize the importance of respect, discipline, and perseverance.
-
Communicating with instructors: Stay informed about their progress and any concerns you may have.

Tang Soo!
Contrary to popular belief, Martial Arts actually help to reduce aggression in children. We teach self-control, discipline, and conflict resolution skills.
By channeling energy into positive physical activity, children learn to manage their emotions and develop a sense of inner calm.
